What the research says about the ingredients
Resistant starch. A 2024 randomized, placebo-controlled crossover trial published in Nature Metabolism (Li and colleagues, 37 adults with overweight or obesity, 8 weeks) found that resistant starch supported weight management and improved insulin sensitivity, and linked the effect to changes in gut bacteria. That trial used resistant starch from high-amylose maize, taken as a food powder.
Chicory inulin. A 2024 systematic review and meta-analysis in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition pooled 32 randomized controlled trials of chicory inulin-type fructans and found small but consistent average reductions in body weight, BMI, fat mass and waist circumference compared with placebo.
Akkermansia muciniphila. A 2019 proof-of-concept trial in Nature Medicine (Depommier and colleagues, 32 adults with overweight or obesity who completed the study) found that the supplement was safe and well tolerated over 3 months and improved insulin sensitivity and some other metabolic markers; changes in body weight were small.
Clostridium butyricum and Bifidobacterium infantis. Most of the metabolic research on these two is in animals or small human studies; their human evidence is stronger for digestive comfort than for weight.

We found no published clinical study of Trimology as a whole, which is typical for supplements in this category.
